Cheesecake Factory
Yesterday we went to the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate mom's birthday. I was unsure about the place at first. All they gave me was toast and bananas for lunch! However after the people came and sang to my mom, they left us with the most wonderful tasting stuff in the world! I am pretty sure they said that it is called "whipped cream". On top of it they drizzled chocolate, which is also wonderful. Although my mom kinda freaked out when I rubbed both of my hands all over in it. She thought that I was going to get it all over her new coat from dad. Silly mom!-David

Festival of Trees
Sunday we went to the Festival of Trees in Boise to help jumpstart the Holiday Season. David is a huge fan of the Christmas season already...he loves the lights and decorations. Our neighbor across the street decorated their yard to the max with Christmas lights and David constantly walks over to the window and points to it. I think he wants Danny to decorate our yard that way!
Lorelei and some youth girls with the carolers. Lorelei is thinking about joining a choir that dresses up and sings on the corners during the Holiday season. You should ask her about it.
The Nativity Tree. Our son already can already discern the real meaning behind Christmas! What a spiritual little guy!
Merry Christmas everyone!

The Mall
Today we went to the mall to check out the Christmas decorations. In case you hadn't heard, the Christmas season has officially begun! How do I know you might ask? Well, I just have a certain sense for these kind of things. And apparently the Lord agrees with me since the report is that Bend had it's first snow today. Congratulations! Anyways, back to the picture... David found a puppy that he wants. I guess he figures that he needs one closer to home since his other puppy is back in Bend!
Who is this guy? David confirmed what all of us have always wondered, "What were they thinking when they dreamed up Ronald?" Was he ever cool or did people always feel weird around him like perhaps he was psychotic or something? Delusional clown, that would probably be a better name for him. Yep, we are pretty sure now that David has a gift of discernment. Just calls it as it is.Thursday, November 09, 2006

Frosting Fondue

David has discovered Sugar Cookies! We had a Frosting Fondue with some of the girls from the youth group this past week and David absolutely loved it! For those of you who don't know, Frosting Fondue is where you take your warm sugar cookies and dip them into a bowl of frosting. David skipped the frosting part though and went straight to shoving the cookies in his mouth. Don't worry, as soon as I took the pictures, I pulled the massive pile of cookies from his mouth. =) I am not sure how he was planning on chewing them anyways.Thursday, October 26, 2006

Don't start a riot; I'm Back!

Sorry that I haven't been very good at keeping in touch lately. We are working on that! =) Some new news in David's life lately: he had his first official haircut last week, he took his first steps yesterday and he went to his first cowboy "Ho' down" this weekend! Yep, life has been busy here in Idaho. Now that we have found the camera and have new batteries for it, we will try to get more pictures to you. Thanks for the patience.

My First Wedding!

Caleb and Ashley were married this week and David was a ring bearer in their wedding. As you can see, he was a pretty big threat to steal the show. However, everything went off without even a hitch. The happy couple is off to Hawaii and David is trying to settle back in to normal life after his big debut into the world of weddings. He rather enjoyed all the attention and the cake and ice cream weren't a bad benefit either!Saturday, September 23, 2006
My First Birthday!
Thank you to everyone who came to my birthday party! I had more fun than I have ever had in my life! Thanks to all of you who sent your love but couldn't be there for the main event. Here are some pictures to make you feel like you were there partying with us...
Hannah Grace and I had some fun with a bubble blowing machine. Hannah figured out how to put her hand in the machine and stop it from working. It gave me time to catch up on my job- popping all the bubbles! Great teamwork Hannah, we mastered those bubbles!
Hannah and I played around in this swimming pool filled with starfish and giant fish. It was a pretty crazy time!
Hannah Joy wished that she could join us in the pool, but she can't crawl yet. So she just cheered us on from the sidelines. Thanks for the support Hannah!
They brought out this giant cake with a giant candle and everyone sang to me. I really liked that part. My mom tried to get me to blow out this candle but I thought it looked rather good sitting on top of that cake and couldn't figure out why she would want to blow it out.
I think that I have dreamt about this before- my mom put an entire cake into the pool with Hannah and I. She just left it there for us to do whatever we wanted with it. At first, I thought that it really was a dream, so I was a little tentative...
However, as I came to realize the opportunity that lay before me I understood that I must sieze this moment!
I ate and ate until I could handle it no more! Finally I had to admit that I could not eat that entire cake and let my mom take me to the bathtub waiting for me. Defeat has never been so wonderful though!
I had so many presents that I think it might be a crime. I have enough toys to share with all of my friends!
