Uncles and Cousins

"It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's Superman!!!"
"Wait a minute! It is just our moms with cameras!"

"This is like being in a space plane or something."
"Sam, come over here and look at how far away we are from the earth!"
"You are right David! The earth is so small beneath us...does that mean that we are stuck with Uncle Joe for the duration of this flight? Quick David call my mom on your cell phone and make sure that this is all okay! I haven't had lunch yet today!!!"

Family Day

Today we went to the zoo. David has never been one to be very impressed with the animal kingdom. However when you combine them all in one place and throw in a few fun toys to look at in between, then it is a pretty fun adventure to embark on!The carousel looks a lot funner than it actually is. Once the thing starts turning in circles and the animals start moving up and down, it is a scary experience. Good thing mom was there to protect me from the crazy giraffe! (Sam, if your mom tries to take you on one of these, run as fast as you can!)

Dad tried to point out wild animals, however they don't seem very wild. All they do is stand there and eat! I am not sure what is so entertaining about that?!?
There was this cool scavenger place that was actually way cooler than all the animals combined. I got to turn wheels and lift up things and all sorts of stuff. It was definitely the redeeming factor of the zoo.
I was pretty excited to see the monkeys that I always hear about, but they were all gone. I am not sure what the deal was, something about a new and better cage? It was really okay with it since I couldn't see over the fence anyways. I am going to work on getting taller before I go back to the zoo.
Here is a Komodo dragon. They are actually pretty impressive beasts. They don't really move either but they look really cool.

Oh no! The Komodo Dragon is loose! Wait a minute, this is not a real dragon. Who is trying to trick me?!? Dad!!!

Look Sam, I am touching a Komodo Dragon. Betcha haven't done that yet!
Interesting animals. Kind of.

This was cool though! I am a baby dinosaur! Rarrrrhhhh!!!!

Resurrection Day Celebration

As moms, we have discovered a new festivity to add to our holiday madness: creating and capturing the perfect picture. Whether our child is hunting for eggs, licking frosting off of a sugar cookie or dressed up in their Sunday best; we are obsessed with the attempt to capture the moment in not just a picture but an absolutely adorable picture! The problem is that our children do not seem to share in the enthusiasm of the new festivity and thus the games begin…

David discovered that hard boiled eggs are more fun to hunt than plastic ones because once you find them you can crack them, pull the yoke out, throw it on the ground and then stomp all over it.

Decorating Sugar cookies is a lot funner than David thought it would be. It is pretty hard to top unlimited sugar followed by dancing to Hillsong kids' concert.

The moms thought they were brilliant in their strategy to bribe the kids into a picture with Easter candy. The kids were one step ahead of us though. They managed to eat all of the candy without getting even close to a pose for the camera!

Mom, did you really think that tossing all of these plastic eggs on our laps would somehow make us sit still and smile really cute? I think you need to work on your originality! I already saw that trick on Sam's blog.

What did moms do before the invention of the digital camera!
