Our new tradition for the 4th of July is to walk in the Caldwell parade. The NXT decorates a float and the worship team plays on it while NXTers walk and hand out candy and touch cards. This year the boys and I rode in the truck. It was a lot of fun!
David was really excited about fireworks this year. We went and picked up Danny this week to take him to lunch and to pick out fireworks. David was so excited! He found a race care fire work and several chickens.
Once the fireworks began though, David was no longer excited about them. It was all we could do to keep him from going back in the house. Him and Hannah Grace hid under the blanket in the back of the car.
It took a little while but they started to warm up to them. The fruit snacks helped with the process.
Behind the safety of a window, they actually began enjoying the fireworks show!
